Barry Jinks

Mr. Jinks is a serial entrepreneur who has participated on the founding management teams and boards of directors of several successful technology companies. He was part of the management team that took the Canadian division of LSI Logic Corporation public in 1986; and later, as founder and CEO of Spectrum Signal Processing, Mr. Jinks took the company from a startup to a 200 person, $40 million, NASDAQ and TSE listed company. While at Spectrum, he was named Ernst and Young's 1997 Pacific Region 'Entrepreneur of the Year' for High Technology.
After leaving Spectrum in 1999, Mr. Jinks founded Colligo Networks and currently serves as the company's President and CEO. Colligo is a private company that provides offline collaboration solutions for mobile professionals. The company has won numerous awards in its field and current clients include industry heavy weights such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, General Motors and ING. Colligo's technology partners include Microsoft and IBM.
Mr. Jinks holds degrees in Science and Electrical Engineering from UBC, where he won several academic awards. He is a member of the World President's Organization (WPO), the professional engineering association of BC, the board of directors of the BC Technology Industries Association and the board of advisors of the UBC Electrical Engineering Department. He has also served on the Science Council of British Columbia and was Chair of the B.C. Advanced Systems Institute.
